The Navajo Language Program, as part of the Department of Linguistics at UNM, teaches both Navajo language and linguistics courses. This includes courses such as Navajo I–IV, Advanced Navajo, Basic Medical Navajo, Navajo Linguistics, and Navajo Verb System I and II.
We offer a Minor in Navajo for undergraduates and a focus area for Linguistics Masters students (MA Linguistics with a Concentration in Native Languages of the Southwest [Navajo Focus]).
